Ask Yourself:

·      What do you think Paul means in verse 11 by “fear the Lord”?  

·      How do you think the Love of Jesus changed the way(s) Paul (and others) saw people in their lives?  (look at verses 14-15 again)

·      What do you think it takes for a follower of Jesus to become an Ambassador of Jesus?  

·      How would your friends finish this sentence about you:  “He/She is an ambassador of __________”  (what do you best represent by your life?)

This week's Sermon Notes

On Sunday August 10th we will have our 4th Annual Mission Outreach Sunday! We will have one joint worship service at 9:00 am followed by a variety of mission related displays and activities and we hope everyone will be able to attend. Unlike prior years, we are hearing of increasing numbers of homeless school age children needing basic hygiene items for school each day as well as school supplies.  So this year we will be collecting both school supplies and hygiene items to pack and distribute to local families in need.    

A collection bin is in the foyer for your donations and a list of suggested supply items is attached for your consideration.  

Wednesday Kids Club resumes on September 3 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm for all potty-trained preschoolers – 6th graders. Our Nursery is also available for our little ones 3 years and under. May 7 is our last week of club for the spring semester

Good News Club Starts September 16

This year’s study, Exile and Return, invites you on a powerful journey through the Old Testament, where God’s people were called to build His kingdom in a foreign land. Their story is our story—we, too, are strangers in a broken world, called to build for His glory. As we explore how God equips and positions His people, we’re challenged to ask: Am I building my life for Christ? Exile and Return reminds us that our time to build is now.

Books included in this year’s study: Ezekiel, Daniel, Ezra, Esther, Haggai, Zechariah, Nehemiah, and Malachi.
